Minecraft Pixel Art Maker

Plan a pixel art build before you place a single block. Each square is one block; the palette is made of colours similar to common blocks, and the colour count tells you how many of each to gather.

From grid to build

Draw your design here, then build it one row at a time, usually bottom-up on a wall or flat on the ground. Open Colours used under the export button to see how many squares there are of each colour, which is how many blocks you need. A 32 × 32 piece can use up to 1,024 blocks, so start small; 16 × 16 is a good first build. Turn the grid on and use Mirror X for symmetrical designs like creatures and logos.

You can also turn a picture into a build plan: open Import an image, pick a size, and tick Limit to current palette so every pixel becomes one of the block colours.

About the colours

The swatches are approximate average colours of blocks such as wool, stone, dirt, sand and the ore blocks. Real block textures have speckles and shading, so colours that look close here can look different in game; check in your world before committing to a large build.
